THE CULTURE COMPASS

I created and established the first model of the Culture Compass in 2013, whilst developing diverse education methods as part of my directing and programming of festivals. 

I have since delivered successful Culture Compass workshops in the following environments. In particular the delivery of 10 successful workshop programs to 160 trainer managers in the Federal Department of Human Services (DHS) throughout the main centres in Australia since 2016 is testament to the demand and efficacy of the unique program content of the Culture Compass. 

The Culture Compass has been reliably described as “representing the meeting point between ideals and action.”  It is a framework for the understanding of four intrinsic elements and stages of our lives - captured as a contemporary interpretation of ancient dictums that form the basis of everything we undertake in life - and even of life itself.   

The Culture Compass is the time-honoured basis of personal or collective strategy - whether for the recognition and application of our own unique personal cultural talents or for the planning of any undertaking in life.

Culture Compass Program Delivery: 

• 2015-19 - Australian Federal Department of Human Services (Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane) - ‘Multiculturalism - Our Stories’ - Train the Trainer Program.

• 2016 - Multicultural Development Australia (MDA) – in Brisbane and Rockhampton.

• 2016 - Queensland University of Technology Brisbane - Leadership and Innovation Program

• 2017 - Cultural workshop programs in Lewes, UK, Olsztynek, Poland and Santiago de Chile.

• 2017 - Chateau de Tribomont Rehabilitation Centre, Belgium.

• 2018 - Subud World Congress, Freiburg, Germany.

• 2018 - BASARA Youth Camp, Kalimantan, Borneo.

• 2019 - Ausdance Queensland – Exploring aspects of dance for people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds - Brisbane, Australia.
